The Florida Seafood Festival is the State's Oldest Maritime Exhibit. This year's
event was held on Saturday, November 1, 2008 in Apalachicola, Florida. The Florida Forestry State Queens, Miss Abby Lynn
Lee, Teen Nilsa Prowant, Junior Melea Kirk, Little Isabella Scott, Tiny Haleigh Duffell, Teeny Baylee Rowe, Tiny Hospitality
Masion Fulton, Forestry's Top Model Heather Gibson & US National Forestry Queens, Little Kelsey Huff-Jones & Miss
Hospitality Haley Robertson attended this event in the scenic historic town at the mouth of the Apalachicola River. The
festival features delicious seafood, arts and crafts exhibits, seafood related events and displays under the shady oaks of
Apalachicola's Battery Park. Some of the events include oyster eating, oyster shucking, a parade, a 5k Redfish Run and a Blessing
of the Fleet.
