The Florida Seafood Festival is the State's Oldest Maritime Exhibit and is held in the scenic historic town at the mouth of the Apalachicola River annually on the first Saturday in November. The festival features delicious seafood, arts and crafts exhibits, seafood related events and displays under the shady oaks of Apalachicola's Battery Park. Some of the events include oyster eating, oyster shucking, a parade, a 5k Redfish Run and a Blessing of the Fleet.
